It is easy to think everyone else has a better office than you. Everyone else is more organized than you. This is especially true when you compare yourself to people who seem to “have it all.” This article in Lifehacker shows you the reality of the offices of Tina Fey, Bill Gates and Al Gore. You will also find a brief video on desk organizing by David Allen, the “Get It Done” guru of personal productivity.
Two working/office styles are featured: hyper-organized minimalist and creative chaos. Though I suspect the offices where “staged” to support our perception/stereotypes of their owner’s professional image.
There are pluses and minuses to each office set-up. Appropriate lighting seems to be overlooked by several of the people featured. And I would love to be able to help several people with desk placement.
Let these people and their workspaces inspire you to make your office work for you – with both efficiency and comfort.

Loved Tina Fey’s office…chaotic and messy is definitely more of my style!
Robert – “Messy and chaotic” is more of everyone’s style. Just as long as “messy and choatic” doesn’t include bills, contracts and other Important Papers.
