Storage for a small home office is a challenge.
Going vertical – using tall bookcases with small footprints – is one solution. But wood or particleboard book cases can feel “heavy” in a small space.
IKEA Vittsjö bookcase/étagère has a small foot print (20” x 14”) and is visually light. Vittsjö bookcase is made of steel and tempered glass and holds a lot on its five shelves, each of which can hold up to 55 pounds. You can store books, organize professional journals in vertical labeled or decorated magazine boxes, and have room for personal mementos and framed photos. Price – $40.
If you want to flex your DIY muscles and make this your own, you can pop-out the shelves and paint the metal frame. I have seen it online painted white, lime green, tangerine and gold-leafed.
Vittsjö comes in different configurations to fit your needs and your space.
